Nepenthes rafflesiana Appreciation Thread!

  • #81
That's because it's the first pitcher on a small cutting i received last year...almost lost it this winter but it came back with new leaves this spring and this is the first pitcher its produced. The cutting is labeled Rafflesiana, Dark - West Kalimantan.....it's from Sunbelle Exotics

I would keep an eye on it until confirmed mature pitchers are produced still; one way or another that red is an absolutely gorgeous hue but if the pitchers get more than about 2" tall and still retain that shape it's probably introgressed with hemsleyana. At the size I'm guessing it's at though, probably will lose the visible hip and get fatter.
