whitefly on plants

Hey guys I just found whitefly on my nep. This is my first pest what should I do? There is an insecticide specifically for whitefly here but my friend told me it doesn't work, he says the only sure way to kill them is to increase humidity to a high level. Any advice

Positive Id of the pest will make an enormous difference in effective treatment. Are you sure it is whitefly?

Isolate the plant. Wash your hands and any instruments (water cans, trimmers etc.) before handling other plants. Pests can be transferred by you on your hands, clothes, hair or anything that came in contact with the infected plant.

What happened to the feature that would automatically combine posts from the same poster if made within a certain time period?

And what happened to the feature that would find similar threads from the subject/title when you started a new thread?
