    Native moss with Nepenthes?

could i integrate some native moss into my Nepenthes pots? My main, irrational, concern is that the moss will somehow damage the Neps by leaching unwanted metals, chemicals, etc, into the sphagnum. the moss in question has some substrate (looks like 50:50 sand dirt mixture) attached to it, maybe an eighth inch. would the moss survive without a dormancy? im in zone 6 and all plants are indoors.

I think itll be ok, but i wanted to see what others thought.

Could you provide some photos of the moss? If it's sphagnum, it won't hurt. However, some mosses are definitely not good for them.

There are several mosses here on the west coast that are in fact phytotoxic and must not be used in/on Nepenthes soils. We need to ID the specific moss to give meaningful feedback.

Leuobryum glaucum i think is the first picture and third

Plagiomnium ciliaire could be the second one

are either of those species dangerous to my neps?
