    Is that a small snake in the Truncata x Ephippiata, or just a nasty looking slug?

    Looks like a nasty slug. Will it hurt the pitcher? I love the pictures! Is that a Staghorn fern?

    More likely than not, the slug just ended up as food. If on the outside of the pitcher, I'm sure they can do a lot of damage. Inside.... not so much....

    It's a slug and some of them are huge(the one in the pic is an average size), there is an annoying abundance of them, they leave a trail of slime all over the pitchers/ love the exudate on the lid and if they do get caught (which is rare) if that pitcher ever gets tipped boy does it smell
