I have long meant to try some Nep nectar but I spray too regularly.... plus, they're on a steady diet of greenhouse cockroaches and that just doesn't sound appetizing.

Some are just sugar, but a few have a honey-like flavor to them. This one is just plain sugary.

    Wait, you eat that stuff?
Come to me flies and crawling bugs. This plant wants to give you great big hugs
    Aren't I pretty, don't I smell good? I'd come to you if I could
But I can't so you must come to me, I'm sure we will get along splendidly

I've got a few plants that seem to have an almost citrus-tangy type flavor to them, a lot of the Philippine species or hybrids with parents from there....
Everything has a reason, whether big or small. Never underestimate the power of what is or is not.
There is far more to everything than meets the eye.

Beware those who eat Nepenthes nectar--wouldn't want to accidentally lose your footing and fall in!
