a new nightmare... my luck just keeps getting better...not!

Sooo i purchased a N. Amp (green) for a friends daughter who collects her own CPs, and shes been wanting an N. Amp for ever since she saw it in a book i had. So when she got to 4th grade and had a little project to discus their intrests i decided i would dig into the last of my funds and purchase her that plant. I finally found one! Paid for speedy shipping and asked them to safely package the plant (they assured me they knew what to do that they ship to the us and all over all the time)
Today i woke up early and awaited my door bell to ring for the pkg...when it came i opened it up to see just how great my friggen luck is!

It was wrapped in plastic...it fried. 4 individual stems and many basals all dead. The condensation from inside the bag soaked the plant making it moldy then it cooked in route to me in 90F weather... Which normally if sent and packed properly it would have came unscathed low landers are easier to travel then highlanders BUT my life sucks so idk what I'll do. Idk where to even start with this...thing. Maybe i can save it but i deff can't give it to my friends daughter for school.....ahrg.
And i highly doubt I'll find another one they are pretty hard too get around my way. Hopefully the seller will replace it and listen to my packaging requests this time...and hopefully in time this one will make some kinda turn around...but idk.

And advice on a cooked lowlander...thanks.

Advice: stop buying from overseas! If you insist on importing plants from other countries even though you have one bad experience after another, then you're exercising poor judgement and shouldn't expect much sympathy from the community.

This is only my 2nd over seas issue. I have more issues ordering within the US then i do over seas most of my living plants are from over seas from great vendors and friends. Its a packaging issue not a location issue. They obviously thought they did a better job packing the plant in tightly with a plastic wrap designed for Easter baskets then a regular zip lock with air in it and the roots stabilized with a tie. They'll just have to be more careful next time. And FYI i don't want sympathy i want ADVICE in a helpful and non-judgmental or criticizing manor within the community of people on here.

But that response doesn't Answer on "WHAT TO DO NOW?" with attempting to care for the plant as is till further notice from seller.

Place it gently in the compost bin, shut the lid, walk away. That's what.

    Schadenfreude.
Judge not lest ye be judged creates a cesspool. Judge others and prepare to be judged by them.
Just know when to keep the verdict to yourself.

"bad luck" has nothing to do with it.

I had a cooler go out once in a greenhouse and all my neps i that greenhouse looked like that. I left them there and some days later I trimmed off what was definitely dead. What was left I allowed to hang out to see if any recovered and very few did but I think these that did came back from the bottom.

I removed basals and potted them up and potted the 4 amps up in their own pots. Im just gonna leave them be whatever dies off I'll snip off and if it basals out again it basals out again that's really all i can do. I contacted the seller they said they'd gladly send me another plant but im now hoping that one arrives safely BUT odds are usually stacked against me. I'll have to look it up Andrew to see if the damage is indeed heat or cold related then have them ship accordingly... Its a shame i really hope some recover i really would have liked to had a basal for myself and given the plant to my friends daughter Asap but id rather wait and pray for the new one arrives safely then show up with this mess

Maybe in a few months or years they'll basal enough to look healthy and happy again, but I'm not too hopefully for its original growth points some they are dead aswell. I'll post photos on three process or on the inevitable.

If anyone has any advice on what i could do other then toss it away and risk not getting a basal or reviving the plant your response is welcome. Not much can be done but hope and look for a good solution while i get my scissors ready to chop chop chop chop chop.....
