Looks very nice Andenes.

BjornNorman- N. x ventrata is very fast growing so you should have a nice plant in the near future.

Are there any issues with the wire basket?

The salts that form when the metal wire (zinc coated steel? ) oxidizes is supposed to be harmful to Neps; it says something like this in The Savage Garden book. I don't use bare metal wire baskets for that reason. I think that the prefabricated palm tree fiber pot will protect the plant for a while since they tend to repell water on the outside. Don't take my word for it though.
