Thread: New plants from basal shoots

    I decided to start another strand as a continuation from

    Basal shoots - crazy growth .

    This is what I do to the gracilis...

    Step 1:
    Break a basal shoot from the base of the plant.

    Step 2:
    Plonk it in water. No rooting hormone used.

    Step 3:
    Wait and it will become like one of these.

    I haven't had the chance to try on other species but for those who would like to try, remember that this works because gracilis roots very easily in water.

    wow thats pretty neat, gotta try that

    my gracilis is about 2 1/2 ft tall with about 4-5 babies around it, i just repotted, growing a bit slowly now =/

    mine arnt as green as yours, mine are more darker
    Expression = Maneuverability x Coiffure squared
