Tom, the only fair thing to do is grow both.

Beautiful! This is what keeps me going everyday I love this forum haha.

Nep G, those really are fabulous plants...how large is the 'Singapore Giant'? You can imagine why I have a vested interest in asking

Justlikeapill, N. maxima is a very vigorous plant, it may not be super fast like N. tobiaca but it's already forming it's newest pitcher within weeks of the one pictured opening.
N. veitchii is much slower, but very progressive, it's like a truncata in a way but a little faster....probably I'm guessing as fast as an N. burbidgeae. Each new leaf it puts out get's bigger as well as the pitcher size, it's growing up so fast!

Zongyi, I could have, I think the trick to this plant, is just enough root space, with alot of surface area for the plant to rest it's pitchers and tendrils on.

Tom, do like I do, grow both like Max said! Tamlin got me hooked on them when he visited me! They now have earned their own bench spot in the greenhouse.

Colin, the N. rafflesiana "Singapore Giant" form is a striking plant. That pitcher is approx 10cm tall and 3cm wide. The next one is forming in the N. bicalcarata pot on moss....maybe it will be bigger since it has support and cushion from the moss.
