nice thingies!

T.

Ps.. stop with that N. hamata var. black thing. Variety is an officially recognized published variation of an individual from the normal species.
tounge.gif
Not to mention people keep asking me to buy the black variety when there is no such thing.

Maybe I need to register it! lol I just think it is extremely black from all other N. hamata plants I have seen. Most are purplish, this one is jet black on the teeth.

Maybe you ought to get some of those dental bleaching strips.  They have treatments for that kind of thing these days.

Nice plants.  Very, very nice.  I didn't realize that spectabilis looks so much like rafflesiana.

I've been thinking of getting khasiana lately due to its plasticity (not that i'm usually a fan of plastic plants, mind you).  Sort of just crossed the threshold of my awareness.  Do you have any pics of the whole pitcher or plant?

PS That rajah is something else!  How come no pitchers?

really nice pictures that twin rokko is cool!

Thanks guys!

Nathan, I'm looking into some of those crest whitening strips.

I can get pics of the khasiana itself and more pitcher views.

As for the N. rajah, it was attacked by nutrient loving earthworms! Those rotten soil suckers made my soil GOOD! Blast them, well, repotted the plant and did a 1 hour soak to drown the oxygen breathing varmints and any eggs they might have blessed me with. So now, the plant is much happier in a larger pot, with nutrient poor soil and a top dressing of live sphagnum which leaches tannic acid into the soil to help ward off any pathogens or any other worms. I know how they got in there last year too, so it was kind of my fault. But there is a pitcher inflating on the plant finally! Just ask Tony!

Awesome plants, Dustin.

The Macrophylla and Villosa look awesome

Nice! Tears of joy. What beautiful plants. The hamatas are stunning and I can't get over the lowii. The pink color on the... spines? (I don't know what they're called -_-) On the underside of the lid is amazing. ^_^

Nice pics, Mr. Gracilis.

How's your N. inermis doing? Hard to tell when you're looking down on it. I'm really happy with mine. It started developing the faintest of faint red spots. I guess it likes the conditions outdoors. Too bad I'm moving so soon, my plants are really taking off.

NICE plants and pics! I especially like the N.maxima although that twin N.x rokko is cool!

I thought I already said something, but I guess not... Very nice plants and pictures as usual... I wish I could say the same about my pictures!
wow.gif
I have been considering it for a while, and after these pictures, I'm sold. I am buying another N. hamata. Talk about obsession. Do they have help for people like us, because I don't want it.

Dustin, not only are your plants outstanding (as always), but you've given me the courage to pack 'em in more densly! Which means I can get more neps! Thanks Dustin!

Killer dustin!
smile.gif

I love the hairy lid on that N. lowii!

Your N. inermis will soon be vining. It (like N. hamata) is a rapidly vining plant because they have such a large distance between each leaf (and the leaves are small). Here's a string of the N. inermis in front of the rajah (that's a 35 cm leaf on the rajah:;): )
inermisrajah.jpg

Caps, my plants really seem to grow better when cozied up next to each other as dustin shows. I've even got small pots sitting in bigger pots-two tiered growing! My N. rajah has 3 or four small pots sitting inbetween the open spaces on the large pots surface area! Why waste that space? I think this also helps to more rapidly drain the small potted plants which need to be moist but not sopping wet. Fill er up!

LOL Josh, that's exactly what i was planning to do to up-pot my hamata, yet still fit everything in the highland terrarium! I figure if i put it in a huge pot, i can set everything else around the edges until it fills in.
biggrin.gif

Thanks for the khasiana pic. Are those sword-shaped leaves typical? Very cool! Is that funky-looking tom-tom pitcher next to it the "Doorman's Top" species?

Hey Josh, thanks for the comments....but no pic! Where is it? lol I knwo you have issues with your hosting agency right now. I saw Tony's N. inermis...wow they DO vine! More than N. hamata! lol

Hey Vertigo, yeah, the leaves are typical, those are upper pitcher though, its a portion of an upper vine that I rooted.

The "tom-tom" pitcher you see is N. mira female from Wistuba.

Very prettyTC! I like the lower N. inermis pitchers as much as the uppers, mines making a couple basal shoots so I'll have both at the same time pretty soon!

Nep G can you see the pic now?

For some reason my site can no longer be prefixed with www. it must be http://jurassic-gardens.com. That's weird...

Swords:

Often one way (wiith or without www) will start resolving first. http://petflytrap.com resolved to the new server right away for most people, but for some people it took over a month and a half to see the DNS change for www.petflytrap.com when we switched servers a while back.

EDIT! I meant to also say thanks for the kind words about the pitcher. I'm planning on posting some pictures in a few days. Maybe today? Dunno.
