Quote[/b] (NepenthesMaster @ Nov. 24 2004,8:40)]BTW: Is N. miranda a hybrid? You know one of those hybrids with a latin name? eg. trichocarpa, coccinea, mastersiana, etc. I ask this since i have never seen N. miranda anywhere but petflytrap.
Man made hybrids and registered cultivars would be Nepenthes Miranda - the first letter of the second word is caps.
Species would be lowercase. Nepenthes hamata
Then you have the few natural hybrids that were accidently described as species. Nepenthes x trichocarpa Some people use the x in a manmade hybrid N. x Tiveyi but still keep the second word with a cap. It makes it easier to denote something as a hybrid vs species.
