They are typically available many places as an "Orchid Basket". Some orchids don't need anything except to be placed bare root into the basket, with a Nep as mentioned you would line with LFS.

I use them for my neps in my terrarium in my dorm room. it is actually easier to keep them watered on the tray system I find as you just need to put enough water in the tray to cover the wood which then absorbs the water and then the soil absorbs it from the wood. Or at least that is how it is set up for me.
