very nice plants. i like the ephippiata, is it an easy grower for you? i was told its easier than lowii and just about as spectacular. it and hamata are on my short list of neps to get this year. excellent looking plants, you do good work
Sheridan, N. ephippiata is very easy, it took a while to settle in but once it did, it REALLY took off. I forgot how small it was when I got it! It grows a little bit faster than N. lowii I think.
Hamish, I was waiting for someone to ask that With the generosity and kindness of Tony we have collaborated and have come up with the following, potentially very interesting crosses:
N. diatas x N. hamata
N. diatas x N. argentii
N. diatas x N. copelandii
N. diatas x N. mira
and one more cross that I cannot think of that is on it, there are also a few virgin flowers left up top that I wish to cross with N. veitchii this week.
Tuna, I think N. ephippiata is just about as "physco" in upper pitchers as N. lowii, just slightly bigger.
Dustin, thanks for the info, i may have to order one from Tony this summer after i get married. i cant wait to see what your crosses turn up they look to be quite interesting, good luck with them.
I wanted to know what sex it because I have a male campanulata that flowers on occasion, and I think a N. inermis x campanulata would be an awesome cross.....
