    i wanted to buy a manny herrera because it is suppose to be a huge and fast growing vine but is it a good beginer plant?

    I like mine! It seems to pitcher with every leaf and is a fast grower. I tend to like the shape of the khasiana hybrids anyway, so I think this one is a winner. Here's mine:

    They are an excellent beginners plant, and will tolerate full sun.

    Hi Everyone,
    This photo was taken last time we visited Manny (the man himself) a few months ago.

    His Nepenthes 'Manny Herrera' are on the right, and his Sarracenia 'Manny Herrera' is growing on the left. They grow side by side in identical conditions; full sun and in a water tray.
    Manny says "...the leaves will turn red when grown in intense sun."


    Easy to grow and beautiful. N. 'Manny Herrera' is a "new classic" hybrid.

    Manny is a cool dude..
    The plant is quite nice. I had no idea the leaves were that red(here, they would not be in my basement, lol).
