Always a newbie
what is the key for aquatic species to flower? water levels? light(already has enough)? temperature?

Well none of the experienced growers have answered. So I'll spew up what I remember reading.

A low water level seems to be need for most, or enough of the plant that it forces some to breach the water surface. Like if you had about 2-3 inches worth of the plant covering the entire surface of the container it is in, then the top layer is likely to flower.
