my info came with a brief discussion with Tobias Kulig, who has pollinated and germinated campbelliana (same clone, wei tepui) multiple times. im assuming he has access to much more quelchii material than what is available in the US as well. perhaps selfing location clones will not work with quelchii, but different locations might be successful.

hahaha. too true. our asplundii x quelchii project failed just like that.

This is a real mystery for me. I sent out seed from several pods (& from both plants) to a few different utric growers. After this, thinking that the seed may somehow have been too old, I watched the pods carefully & at the first sign of maturity - ripped them open. After that, I even ripped the pods open deliberately early. Thousands & thousands of seeds from 2 different plants & not one germination.

    All the best,
    Ron

the U. alpinia x nelumbifolia cross seemed didn't work. Ovary developed but looks like seeds aborted. Leaves me wondering ....

I am new and all to the CP hobby but, a lot of plants seeds need a wintering or resting period. Whether it is dry or cold. Maybe there is a seasonal trigger?
I love lurking here, not the most active page at TF, but the most interesting.
    Thanks Folks!

Oooo That will be nice let us know when that opens Amph..

Oops! Looks like I was in serious need of a repot. . . This U. nelumbifolia I also received from RL7836 a while back has thick tubers all over the place.

Close up of the traps. I wonder, if these segments of bladders are broken off, is it possible to grow them into new plugs?

All potted up in its bigger, mesh pot.
