    Utricularia calycifida light levels

    Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone could clarify on light levels for U. calycifida. I know a few places have said they like lower light levels but how low is "low". What direction window would you grow them in? Any direct sunlight at all? Or if I was growing them under fluorescent lighting, how far would you put them from two 48" tubes? Thanks for the clarification!

    Hello

    Its my favorite utri

I grow my calycifida in 60-80% RH under a 24w T5 fluo tube. No full sun. The leaves can burn very easily.

Under your 2x 48", try over a meter away? lol
    Or a north facing window.

Of course i speak from my personnal experience!

This specie have very fragile leaves, and too much light will burn the plant.
And too little light will not bring you a nice purple coloration.

For me, this is the perfect coloration for a U.calycifida:

    Hope this help!

God that foliage is amazing. I love utrics but man, that one really stands out. I hate to admit this for fear of seeming really weird but I get kinda hungry looking at it. Color reminds me of arugula for some reason... or some kind of salad greens.... Hmmm.... I wonder if it is edible.... (j/k)
