    I tried this and all Igot was a big muddy bowl of water. What if you just stick it in a bowl with some distilled water and let it go will that work?

    The mud will settle down in a few days. Just distilled water will work, but the plants like to have a tiny bit of soil at the bottom to anchor themselves with. Wait a bit longer, and try not to splash and play with the u.gibba [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif[/img]

    You can grow it in just distiled water. Most people use the other method because that is the only way to get it to flower.
