Inquiring minds want to know. I am also interested in learning of any different appearing clones should anyone have information on this.

Look at this monster! The leaves are significantly different from the clones I am growing. Wow!

    Yeah nice plants! ;-)

I got them from a friend who bought them in Leiden, at the European Plant Exchange.

I photographed a plant in flower at our annual society meeting:

    It has another leaf form!

    Good growing!

    Hi Jan,

Oh you lucky dog!! What a stunning plant. The second form is what I am growing. I have heard of the Leiden flower show, what fantastic resources you have to hand in Europe! I searched here in the States for years before finally finding the plant that I currently have, and it is thriving.

I am growing mine in a mesh basket in live sphagnum. This spring I placed the basket in a large glass apothacary jar surrounded by live sphagnum, and keep the water 1/4 of the way up the pot. I am getting fantastic growth now, with beautiful purple veins in the leaves.

    Hi,

Here are some pictures of my plant. It was my price at our picture contest . I grow it in pure sphagmum.

I've also seen the plant, Jan photographed in Würzburg. Mine has a similar leaf form. The flower was really great. It was the first time for me to see a flowering plant.

    Hi again!

The Owner of the flowering Utricularia humboldtii had some flowering U. reniformis, too. He told me that he succeed in crossing the U. reniformis 'large' form with the U. reniformis 'small' form and showed me some 0,5 cm "tall" seedlings.

Perhaps we will hear more from him...

My plant produces the spoon-shaped leaves, and long grassy types. Its largest leaves are about the size of my thumb.

    Nice Pics!
