Genlisea pygmaea flower

NickHubbell

It’s a trap!
This is the first flower that my G. pygmaea has produced. I was very excited to see the flower.

Nice pic. I am patiently waiting for my first genlisea to bloom which should be any day now.

I thought mine would have bloomed months ago.

How much light do you give that plant?

The plants sit about 10 inches away from 6 flourescent bulbs and are currently getting 12 hours of light.

Nice going! Keep me in mind if you get seed! I'll trade you my cat!

My Genlisea are all bursting into flower as well. It must be getting summery in Brasil!

Hey Nick,

Congrats on the G.pygmaea!! Any idea where that one came from? And if possible, please show us some side pics of the flower (hopefully with scape hairyness) and leaves!

Fernando

Great pic, what camera/lens were you using?

I used a Nikon Coolpix 4300 with a +10 close-up lens.
