On mine, Timmy? There's actually 8, you just can't see the cuptrap it's so tiny ;-)

And nice, Devon.B and thanks mmlr38 (if you nice'd mine or someone else's) :-D

This is the longest I've ever kept vft's alive :banana2: You're lucky Indigo that they'll just grow in your yard like that.

im pretty sure his plants are just in a large bog garden and not in his yard directly....

I guess.... Is there more than one piranha? They're all in a planter, in their respctive pots, on my porch.

Hehe...you didn't say what they were is why I asked. Glad I got it right.

Here is a 'Dighley's Giant' I took a photo of on 30 Mar this year. Its growing indoors so they only get a very short dormancy maybe 2 months if that.

I've never seen that one before RSS, but it sure is pretty! I think my VFT's didn't get too much dormancy here either...San Diego doesn't have seasons for too long. My plants came back pretty strongly after they woke up so maybe they'll either poop out in a year or two, or maybe just a mild dormancy is good for them? They kept their leaves like an S.purp does over the winter.

Get that plant some sunlight! I think it needs it!

very nice rss, love the crimson color.

Clue - How come it needs more sunlight... its hard for me to give it sunlight so i have it under two growing lights best i can really do for now

  • #19
I guess that the comment about requiring more light stemmed from the thought that the plant appears etoliated and lacks color. Perhaps placing the plant closer to the light source could help . . .

its about 6 inches away.. read from a couple places that seems best distance. it could be the bright light coming through the plant. its got some color though. ill try moving it a little closer i guess
