Vft's traps don't work

I have a couple VFTs. I've had them for about a year now and only recently their traps have stopped trapping insects. I sthis normal? I mean do they go through periods when their traps stop functioning? Their environment is the same as it's always been and they don't seem to have changed visibly.

Any suggestions?

I'm guessing you didn't know about vft dormancey requirements and that they just now crashed out from the strain. Put them in a plastic bag, just moist, put the bag in a paper bag and put in the refriderator for a month or so to give them a mini rest. Then make sure they get a full nap november to febuary every year.
