I just took my two common flytraps,as my three red dragons will continue growing for another week or so and put them to sleep. This is what I did I gently took them out of thier soil and swirled them around in a plastic cup of distilled water to wash away all nasty soil. Them with precise tweezers I pulled gently away the old rotted away dead parts of summer traps away from the crisp white bulb and other parts of soil. Then I left the 1 tall summer trap that is just begining to open up and some other still green laeves and trimmed away all of the yellowing and browning old leaves. Next I put dampened white klenex in Zip-Lock baggies and set the cleaned bulbs in between the paper. then I let all or most of the air in the bag out and sealed them shut. I put them in my refridgerator which is 40-43 F constantly. Does this sound good? NO Fungicide Was Applied at ALL EITHER! Does this setup sound good? I hope so Because I don't want to lose my friends So I'm attached to them!!! thanks Nep.G.

    NG,

I think ya done good... since you didn't apply fungicide, check every couple of days at first to make sure nothing has popped up... I would say if you are fungus free for the first two weeks, you probably have it made, but I would continue checking regularly after that.

I have been checking for two days now. And NO FUGUS! Now next year will my flytraps be bigger heathier and more vigorous? And about my Red Dragons (Aki Rhy) When should they be put in the fridge with there comarades? Thanks Rampuppy for saying I did some thing right! And 1 last question what do I do if fugus does sprout but I notice it early? Thanks Nep.G.

I don't think the amount of post matters nor do I think it dictates the amount or quality of one persons knowlege.

Dionaea Enthusiast, I totally agree with you, THERE is no such thing as a stupid question.

And Mondo I think that Nep G mean Phile

Ok Guys.... play nice... or I'm gonna put you in the corner... and you can't play in the sand box for a week

Actually, can't everyone just get along! I've deleted all of the posts below the initial questions and responses.
