    Hi DreyZ

Have you checked out the International Forum? Its for non-USA folks who have different growing seasons and plant resources than we do here. Check it out...and no, you are not the only Aussie here. :-) You should be able to get more specific dormancy info there.

i live in sydney, i've received various replies on dormancy in the southern hemisphere. i just went with the best way recommended and put my vft in the refrigerator, as per instructions here at **********.com...

    i think the url was:
    http://www.**********.com/dormancy.html

    hey jamieanne,
tanx for your input.....i thought i might have to place them in the fridge for the dormancy....one question though....should i just put them in there straight away??

well... i am in no way an experienced vft keeper... i got my trap in march (for my birthday from my boyfriend!).... it's the first one i ever had. i've done SO much research and i'm hoping i'm doing everything correctly.

if i were you i'd put them in the refrigerator as soon as possible... the way i figure, they'll need about three months (?) dormancy during the coldest months of the year. so i'm thinking now's a pretty good time to put them to sleep for the winter! 8-)
