    why does the pot for my vft need to be so small.I just got it from this place and dont know much.

    It doesn't need to be small, but it doesn't need to be much larger either. Your plant will grow quite happily for 2 years in that pot.

    Larger pots will just cost more to ship.

    I forgot to say that I got the two plants in one pot.Will two be ok for that long?Plus I have a lot of soil built up on top so the plants set up about half an inch above the top of the pot.

    My two have been the same pot for almost 2 years and have been doing just fine. Actually, they are doing the best out of all my VFTs. I plan to repot them after this dormancy tho.

    just consider that your plants prior home was a plastic cell about the size of a grown mans thumb, both your plants have a lot of growing room in that pot.
