What is the general rule of thumb when potting cp'

In addition to my venus flytrap I went out to HD again and picked up a couple new CP's.

1. Tropical pitcher plant (neepenthes hybrid)

2. Sundew (drosera)

Can I repot them with 50/50 spagnum peatmoss and perlite?

the sundew u can, but a more airy mix is required for tha nep. i would keep the nep in the pot it came in if u arent sure enough about your methods yet, i dont know any good mixes for neps, but there are many who do
Best wishes,
Hellz

Hey Kendogg. I have read that some don't use perlite because it does not occur in nature, and that it may slightly stunt the growth of the plant. It makes sense, I used to use it too, and just recently I quit because of this.

I used silica sand now instead to airate the soil, seems to make a pretty nice mix. 50/50 silica sand to sphagnum peat moss, and I threw in a little long fibered sphagnum for good measure.

Hope that helps.
