Since there was so much interest in the kayak trip part of my Green Swamp tour I decided to list one.

I'll give you two choices. You can choose between a trip to a very secluded lake called McKinzie Pond or a trip down the Lockwood Folly River.

Mckinzie Pond

This is a 6 mile round trip. It starts in a brackish marsh then slowly transforms into a hardwood forest and then into a pine forest. This area was once used for rice plantations. You can still see some of the structures such as the frame work of century old bridges. There are pine savannas around the lake that I have yet to explore. Exploring these for cp's will be part of the trip.
You can read about and see the pics of my only trip to this lake.

This trip includes a 9 mile trip down a slow winding river that starts off in a hardwood forest through brackish marshes and finally ends less than a mile from the Atlantic ocean in the fishing town of Varnumtown.

To see all of my pics from this river send me your email and I'll send you an invitation to my pic hosting site.

You choose the trip and I'll provide you with a kayak and all the equipment that you'll need for the trip.

Bidding starts at only $1.

Pity bid. $1 :-))

 I thought people would want to paddle down a river with me.

Hey I'll bid if I can redeem it at some undetermined time in the future! No idea when I'll be able to get out to NC!

Max

This tour is good for as long as I can give it. If I still have two kayaks and able to paddle 20 years from now and you get to NC, I'll take you on a tour. Just like the Green Swamp tour, you tell me when you'll be here and I'll do my best to accommodate.

I received an email asking if there was any other way that I can take a second person even if they didn't have a kayak. I thought this was a good question so I'm posting the answer here.

There is a way that you can. There is a couple of places that rents kayaks. I have no idea how much they charge.

Come on, look at these pics and tell me an all inclusive trip down this river is only worth $25.

Since I can't ship the item and it is up to Capslock to claim the trip at his convenience, I'm closing this auction and consider it complete..

The auction ended at $25. Caps paid $50. Nasc justs wants to say thank you for your donation. I'll also try to make this one heck of a trip for you. There are two trips listed in this auction. I said that you can choose either of the two. Since you paid double, I think it's only right to give you both trips. So if we still have the energy and you want to do both then both trips are yours.

Again thank you Max.
