Nice plants! THanks for sharing

How on earth do you keep that ping on 34% humitity!!!!
smile_k_ani_32.gif

mine is in ~25% at night so its not that startling

Really?

I always keep my plants well over 70% when not dormant and they do very well. I could not imagine having them at such a low humitity without killing them, how do you make them ajust to such low humidity?

its about 100 degrees out and 16% humidity and i have P. gigantea outside in the sun it looks fine, as does a pot of mixed unknowns. personally i prefer the ones that are grown inside under lights but the ones out side look fine, ill take a pic tonight to prove it. i have 4 or 5 binata complex drosera doing fine also as well as some VFT's, been hotter than hades for the last 2 weeks with low humidity during the mid day heat with it jumping up to around 50% at night with temps varying in the 60's-80's

Until recently all my CP were growing in 15-20% Relative Humidity. Of course they are all sitting in trays of water, 24/7/365, so moisture in the air - or not really didn't matter.

Very nicely done, Steve!

As for humidity, I have found that as long as I keep a little water in the tray to replace what is used by the plants or lost by evaporation, the plants don't mind low humidity. The only exception I have found is my N. gracilis. It grows fine but it seldom pitchers.
