Great pings, Wesley. Keep them growing!
Peter.

Sweet! Love the pics of the babies...

Very nice pics!

The baby plants are the ones I owe you Jimscott.

My personal fav is the P. Yucca Do 1717, the biggest rosette is only 1" or so in diameter. I can't wait for them to flower.

That's insane!!!!!! I've never had those varieties of pings. How long does it take do grow them that large?

Actually, they are all in three inch pots. AHH the wonders of Macro. LOL. They're extremely easy in fact to grow that "large". I've had those particular plants for about 2 yrs. I grow them under lights in the winter when it's too cold to keep them outside. They get about 8-12 hrs of light to encourage their winter rosettes and dry their trays for longer periods. In the summer I either put them outside for w/16 hrs of light and 1-2inches of water. My worst problem with them is when I let them dry out too much when they flower and the flower aborts. I've had the P. laueana CP2 x moctezumae flower multiple times only to abort. It's a little bit annoying, but I expect that when I have more of it that I can get at least one plant to flower. So goes the journey LOL.

My P. agnata "giant" is truly large. It is only just starting to really send out leaves that are big. I got the plant from Pyro and I forgot how big he said his leaves usually get. I'm planning to take leaf cutting of that one next year.

Sweet! So is P. agnata similar to P. moranensis in size? Cause I've seen those in real life at an orchid show

By the way, I love your P. Laueana CP2 x moctezumae, if you ever have cuttings..... :)

They both get pretty big, but no, I don't think P. agnata get as big. I'm not overly knowledgeable on their size relations. I used to have a P. moranensis but when we re-roofed our house some of the shingle stuff got into its soil and killed it before I knew what had happened.

Actually, as a matter of fact I did take some cuttings. If I have extras I'll let you know.

Ok so I was looking at my plants today and I noticed my P. Alfred Lau collection #13's flower has GROWN. It's now over an 1" in diameter. I had to brighten the ruler so you could see it, that's why it looks weird. The flower is also darker than the photo shows.

P. agnata x moranensis "caudata"

I went on vacation and came back to this little beauty. I wish I were better at Macro. I need to get a camera that's built for that.
