Here is a photograph of a Pinguicula seed pod -- others to follow:

One pod, forming now is on a Pinguicula gracilis flower, pollinated with Pinguicula gypsicola. I am quite anxious to see if this cross works out and then to see what they will look like. I'm also curious to try using Pinguicula 'Weser' as a pollen donor with Pinguicula gracilis as the maturnal parent.

Now I know what to look for. I've never gotten beyond butchering a flower while attemting to hand-pollinate.

Have you tried tearing off the bottom petals? You can see perfect pollen perfect then.

When the time comes again I will be doing just that, as well as using a toothpick with a Sharpie.
