Mexican pings ship well all year. Just like other plants though, make sure they're going somewhere that they will not be cold too long or freeze.
Also, Mexican pings do not go dormant, they change leaf forms. (carnivorous and succulent) although in cultivation, I don't think they follow seasons like other plants do. It seems they just randomly change whenever they want...

They ship well is shipped relatively dry. Most do change leaf shape (agnata does not) during the fall and winter, in response to lower photoperiod and far less water.
