I wonder if you were to propagate that leaf if there is any chance that trait would continue? Would be interesting, indeed, to see aping in which all the leaves were like that.
 
It looks like its trying to grow a trumpet to play some music. lol
 
Haha, great! Deformed leaves are always interesting.
 
I've seen a picture of this happening with a Ping once before. It would make for a very interesting plant if the trait could be made stable.
 
This is a trait that was actually similar to the standard that P. utricularioides was described.
