Ping a. l. number 2

I now have seven different kinds of Pinguicula, and they are growing close to each other. But the P A.L. #2 catches many more bugs than the others, perhaps something like 5 times as many. It is more reddish than the others, perhaps that has something to do with it? Perhaps the red color goes higher up into the ultra violet range than humans can see, but the bugs can?

Hi Tim,

What sp. is P.A.L.(Alfred Lau) #2? I remember that A.L.#1 is gigantea... Some of my plants like my P.zecheri seem to catch more insects than my other pings grown in the same plastic box, but this is probably due to the fact that the plant is placed in the corner.
