I have something called "oak leaf mold" produced by the Mosser Lee Company. It appears to me to be nothing more than crushed oak leaves and seems to have a high concentration of tannic acids (i.e., the water that runs out of the drainage holes of the pots of my non-CPs is stained a brownish color). Could this be suitable for ping mixes as well?

In years past I've used the very same product.

I do caution that if you're not familiar with Pinguicula culture tread lightly.

Joseph...you are truly amazing. Not only do you have a gift for propagation but you work hard at it too. I always enjoy your tips and photos.

Your plants look fantastic.

What about pine needles, pine bark, pecan leaves/hulls for organic tannic acid? I have plenty of all that.
