I've given my dad N. coccinea, N. ventrata and a bunch of N. x "judith finn" over the years. He has a natural gas well on his property so he has a hot house full of tropicals! I've also given my folks 5 types of figs, meyer's lemon, an a bunch of other sweet plants. If anyone grown n. truncata successfully hit me up!

N. truncata is very tolerable, much like ventricosa or sanguinea. Your Dad shouldn't have any problem growing it. :)
