Nepenthes 'Rokko' aka Wolfplant Cuttings Giveaway!

  • #21
Thanks for all the interest guys and gals! I took the cuttings today. Here's a few photos of all the cuttings. I split them up into growth tip plus 4 node cuttings and 5 node cuttings. So basically all 5 node cuttings. I can't fit 5 node cuttings in a small flatrate box, they are just too large and most of them are somewhat woody. So all the cuttings will be split into 2 and 3 node cuttings unless the recipient is willing to pay for a medium flat rate box.

The pile as I took all the cuttings

Once I made them smaller and counted them out (50 in that one vase)

I'm curious how you determined that this plant is Rokko. I did a search for "Wolfplant" and found some threads where you were looking for an ID on the plant. Did you end up uncovering its origins?

That's quite a stylish living room you got there. :0o:

I don't want a cutting because I don't have room in my greenhouse, but WOW that's a lot of cuttings. There's more generosity in this thread than cuttings in that vase. Biggest giveaway ever. You deserve a medal. Thanks for the offerings!

Also, just curious, but does N. Wolfplant thrive in lowland conditions (and most other types of conditions like the common N. Rokko) or is it specifically highland?

OFFER CLOSED

Thanks to all that placed orders, I guess thats what they are??? anyway, I'll do my best to respond to all the emails this weekend so I can get the cuttings shipped out Monday. They are sitting in water until then.

For growing conditions, these are extremely tolerant of both lowland and highland conditions, though the colder temps they are in the slower they grow. If you want it to be super vigorous like the mother plant you need to keep them around room temp year round with lots of bright light. If you've ever wanted to grow a nepenthes as a windowsill plant this is a great candidate.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me. Thanks guys and gals and good growing!

If there HAPPENS to be any left Mason, we would gladly take one or two cuttings. If not, my loss. I just noticed the post, I have been busy dealing with the NAMM show. Now that it is over I am back to normal. I wonder what else happened in the world. ???

I am going to root a large number of these for future sales, giveaways, etc. so there will be more available in the future.

A few have not been sent out yet, sorry guys my post office ran out of small flatrate boxes and I had to wait until Monday (tomorrow) to get more. If you have not received your tracking number you should get it soon.
