Any tips on plantin' these little d. puchella? Preferred mix?

I have LFS, peat, and perlite available. Was thinking about picking up pool filter sand but not sure if HD has, Menards seems to.

I got my pulchella gemmae yesterday. They are planted! Thank you so much!

Savagegarden,

I use half peat, half sand with just a little perlite. I think half peat half perlite would be OK, it's just so it drains a little bit better. A top dressing of sand is a good idea, but you could go without, just have a bit more issue with moss.

Then sow the gemmae on top like any other CP seed.

Gotcha, thanks. So just place the gemmae straight on top of the sand top layer? Do you have any pics of your setup?

Thanks for the giveaway btw!

After some searching around I found a 50lb bag of pool filter sand at Menards, the coarseness seems pretty good and large so I'm happy. Mixed with Canadian Peat Moss from Home Depot. What do you guys think of this set up--too close to the lights? Its about 2.5 - 2.75 inches from the T5s.
