Sauromatum venosum/S. flava var. atropurpurea

nepenthes gracilis

Nepenthes Specialist
Hi all, I am curious is anyone interested in a few S. venosum tubers? I have about 10 or them ranging in size from about a quarter to dime. I'm willing to trade for any Nepenthes (just suggest), Sarracenia (looking for jonesii, leucophylla variants, and S. flava variants other than var. rugelli, var. flava and S. psittacina)

Also....if anyone reading this has S. flava var. atropurpurea available for trade I would appreciate a PM or post here. I have been searching for this plant for a looong time. This will be my 5th year searching for it.

Thanks!

Hi Dustin,
I have as well been searching for S. flava var. atropurpurea for years. The closest I have found in the US is flava "red", which is almost like var. cuprea (coppertop) with red instead of the copper color. I suggest a few of us get together to cover phyto certificates and make an order from someone in the UK. Its ironic that while Sarracenias naturally grow in North America, UKers definately beat us in varieties and size of collections.

Hi Peter, well that would be a nice deal! Order from Mike King haha. Well I do know where to get a var. atropurpurea, but am not paying the price...$80 a plant. If you want to know message me.
