Red mangrove

Hey everyone,
I have some Red Mangove plants available for trade.  I picked the seeds up out of my yard in September after the hurricane and they now have leaves and lots of red roots.  You can grow them in saltwater aquariums or in a bowl of fresh water or in a semi-aquatic setup. PM if interested.

would I have to acclimate them to saltwater? or are they already ready? They woudl be cool for a mangrove refugium I have... so far All I have in there is chaetomorpha....

I am not really sure. I would acclimate them with 1/4 of the amount of salt over a weeks time and then 1/2 the salt for a week and so on. If they respond well then I think they would be ready to go into full salt. They have been growing in fresh water but they are from salt water and grow like that in the wild.

Have you tried stimulating those "aerial roots" on these little guys?

I am putting them in my reptile cages!
