New Drosera intermedia site in Virginia!

Hello all.

Just letting everyone know that we at Meadowview are starting to explore a new track of land in southern Virginia. We started today and already have a great find. We found a new county record for Drosera intermedia in Virginia (it wasn't previously known to occur in this county). It's far from the one other location known in Virginia, and was therefore an unexpected find. Considering it is a fairly rare plant, this is very exciting. We also found Drosera brevifolia, some other rare associate plants, and there is good promise for finding pitcher plants. Most likely we would find S. purpurea, but there is also the possibility of S. flava. Check in to see what we turn up over the summer. Hopefully it should be very interesting, as the site seems very promising!
