Hey Guys,
Has anyone heard of the new Pine Barrens on Long Island? Well, the barrens aren't new...but it was newly made a state park. I just heard about this the other day when I met this lady who is the assistant regional attorney for the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation.

This may be old news to some of you, but I just found out about it....LOL

Good news, maybe their will be less broken beer bottles, and less chance of fire.

It's a really nice area, and a wonder to walk through. Along with one of the only areas on long island that was filled with enough deer to make you feel like you were upstate.

I still remember it from before the fire and haven't been back since. I'll have to go and visit to see how the growth has been.

It really is amazing to have an area such as the pine barrons and then drive south a few minutes and be on the beach.
