nepenthes dormancy in Singapore???

Has anyone else experienced their nepenthes going into what looks like a dormant stage? I have 2 N. albomarginata and one of them has developed a tight rosette of 'winter' looking leaves similar to the small non-carnivorous leaves produced by other cp's like Sarracenia in winter.

Previously it was growing very well as the older leaves show. None of my other nepenthes have shown this kind of behaviour.

Not dormancy, really...'cos dormancy usually means the plant take the period for a rest in preparation for the next cycle of growth.

What I notice in my plants is that they slow down or stop growing altogether. Many times they will also go pitcherless.

I suppose it's them reacting to the change in temperature and light intensity or duration. I have had plants that came from nurseries overseas and the leaves are dark green, short and compact (thick & hard). But once they acclimatise to our weather, they grow really huge and wider leaves in lighter green! Can look quite different from the original plant...

This is quite wierd. My Nep. albomarginata is actually starting to form its first pitcher after relocating to my apartment, and had remain pitcherless for the past five months. I concur with Cindy that it might have something to do with the light regime. Did you move the plant recently? BTW, I also grow my Nep. albomarginata in LFS.
