It's a special week .. i think it's the week of x-mas or before it when we are suppossed to go out and thank soliders. Whether you agree with the politics of war or not .. i like this idea.

Hi Mona and welcome to the forums! I'm a typical baby-boomer, who grew up watching Viet Nam on TV and my views were shaped accordingly. I am far more a "dove" than a "hawk". Having said that, for those who have fought in any of wars, and survived all sorts of atrocities, these people have come back and have been affected. Americans haven't generally been supportive of our war efforts for the past 60 years, but that doesn't change the fact that these individuals have come back to even more atrocities. They need all the support they can get.
