It felt as fuzzy as it looks... like wool

Wow...I've never seen anything like that! That is really cool. Your fungi pics are awsome. You take great photos. Mushrooms do make good subjects for photography.

It makes sence, after all mushrooms have been veiwed as phallic symbols for many centuries... I don't know about the rest of you but all I see a couple mushrooms.

I think fungi are so cool.  When I get the space I want to start growing them.  poopaki and other exotic mushrooms as well as the old standby prtabella.  I have to admit though I don;t know much about fungi.  Are any of those eatable as a food stock?  They are very nice even if they are not.  Thanks for sharing!  I would love to have time to go out and find things like that.  I will be so happy when I get off flippin nights!!  3 more years three more years.  I keep telling myself 3 more years then I will be free!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had my Camera yesterday, I saw some Awsome Shots, I could have had a Mass of Mushrooms! They were really tiny and cute.

When I heard you say Wooly Mushroom I was expecting the Puffball kind that was edible.

Mushrooms are Easy to grow, You just need Agar, A Sterile envorinment, a Pressure cooker depending on the Tek you use to grow them, and Depending on the Tek you use you need a syringe.

But with the Agar dishes to start all you need is a fresh mushroom, and to get a spore print of the mushrooms you want. SOME though (Morels, puff ball mushrooms) Arent as easy to get spores from cause they relase them with pressure, where as Mushrooms like the Wooly one and the ones with Gill's they kind of drop them.

Just lurking and thought I'd add this. An oldie but a goodie.
' There's old mushroom tasters and there's bold mushroom tasters but there's no old, bold mushroom tasters'.
Be careful what you grow as the spores can get about!

Just cause you grow it doesnt mean you are going to eat it, I know That If I build a Tropical Terrium, Im going to definetaly going to be finding a sweet looking mushroom and trying to cultivate it cause I would love to have random mushrooms pop up in a Vivarium. If you grow edibles go to a Super Market, and get the mushroom caps their (idealy the Oyster's are easiest) and then culture that, thats the safest eiseiest way. Or buy culture kits on line (100 bucks for some of them) and you can grow them then culture them

Oh yea, mushrooms are big down in the Mexican region, as they are the Phycoactive kind, and the People their kinda worshiped it. Same as in Europe, some parts (sweeden maybe) people would eat these HUGE red mushrooms (kind of like mario) which are closely related to very very deadly mushrooms, the Amanta (sp?) family.

I guess people have tried cultivating A. muscaria, and it never really works out cause like its a parasitic fungi living of the roots of live trees I guess, thats kind of hard to cultivate.

But Yea They do grow every wear! Its kinda crazy, I heard they got P. cubensis to grow up in canada... thats just great isnt it?

You can obtain spore prints of the Glowing Kinds online for like 100's of dollars a pop!

It's been a while, but I think I've seen them a bit cheaper. Why hasn't this caught on, it's so cool!

The Kits may be 100 but just for a spore syringe its not that expencive. Yes they have the spores already suspended in syringes for you on some sites! They sell all types too. From food stock to the psycoactive types. Careful some states the psycoactive shrooms are illegal but the spores are fine. Here in GA both the shrooms and the spores are illegal.

Im not talking the kits, Im talking the Spore Prints for the Glowing Mushrooms!!!

My girlfriend wanted to get me some!! Glowing Mushrooms arent the drug related kind. They are simply mushrooms like the kind you would find in youre yard. Just glowing!
