I've got a great idea for the next NASC auction.

Stay chooned in for more!
Hi guys. My mom's got a new hobby where she takes PMC (precious metal clay), sculpts it into jewelry, fires it, and the result is jewelry that's .999 pure sterling silver. Regular sterling silver is .925. They also come in gold and platinum, but she's just starting out. She made her first batch today and when they are polished i'll post pics. It sounds far-out but it's made and was invented by Mitsubishi.

I told her about the auction and she said that she'd love to sculpt some cp's.

What do you guys think? Would anyone buy it?

Here are some pics of PMC jewelry made by other people.

That's cool. Like any art, sculpting takes a little talent and a lot of effort. If your mother (or you) makes that effort, I'm sure some people will be interested in those. And hopefully interested enough to bid much more than the material cost.

HAH! I can barely draw a stick person.

Tomorrow, If the light is good, i'll take pics! You can even set jewels in them.

I'll buy some.

Pic two

I couldn't get the image to show up, so a link is all I can do. These pics are bad but they give you an idea. It looks like metallic paint but it's not.

Its neat... What kind of CP sculptures would it be?

Like... Cartoonish, or like real looking?

either way IM sure I would buy one if it had a heavy duty Chain on it.

I'd totally buy one

A real one! I was going to take, for example, matching vft leaves, put on about 10 coats on the front, and fire it. Then the leaves burn away and i'm left with silver. After that I was gonna coat the back agian to make it thicker, re-fire it, and add little earring thingies.

I guess I could sculpt "large" things, like an S. purpurea plant but that would be expensive.

I've heard of that material and would love to try some.
