Ok all you football fans. I finally got a sheet from our slacker mortgage person who hands out the contest forms. She hasn't been giving them out in time for me to post here. Forms are to be turned in on Friday.

List your picks for the following team games!

Buffalo at Detroit
Carolina at Baltimore
Cincinnati at Tampa Bay
Houston at Dallas
NY Giants at Atlanta
Philly at New Orleans
Seattle at St. Louis
Tenn at Washington
Kansas City at Pittsburgh
Miami at NY Jets
San Diego at San Fran
Oakland at Denver

Ok...GO!

A lot of tough games to pick this week. I think Denver, San Diego, Pittsburgh *not just because I am a Steeler fan or anything*, Dallas, and Cinni are my locks to win. Others I think you have a good chance of flipping a coin and getting them right.

Pfff.... nascar? *weee* lets drive around in circles *yay*

Hmm me? I would rater participate in the games than watch them, even though I suck, I think if Dodgeball was a sport on TV I would watch it, My school has a Dodge Ball tournament every year.

Ummm, it's a little more interesting than that

A lot of people say that auto racing is not a sport, but I think that's silly to say. You have to have a lot of endourance to be able to sit in a car for hours at a time and race. A lot of mental strength to "drive around in circles" at tremendous speeds. Not to mention the fear they must feel when they've been spun out and they crash head on full speed into the wall. Please don't insult Nascar anymore.

Hey Jeremiah!  You are a real gambler.

Hey Trapper7!  I agree with you.  Who is your favorite to win the chase?
The 6 car is only ten points out of first place.  That crazy old man.

Let's hear from Ozzy on this.

You think just like I do
smile_n_32.gif

My boyfriend and I really like the two drivers who everyone else hates, that's why we picked them, lol, and they are good! Jeff Gordon is my boyfriend's fav and Jimmie Johnson is my man
smile_m_32.gif
We can't stand the 20 car, you know who I'm talking about, Tony butthead Stewart
smile_n_32.gif
And also hate Dale Jr. That's crazy about the 6 car (I can't think of his name right now, Mark Martin?) but I know who you're talking about, good for him

Buffalo at Detroit  (i think a lion could take a bill)
Carolina at Baltimore (I don't think panthers eat ravens... so I'd say the raven)
Cincinnati at Tampa Bay (A buccaneer could whip up on a bengle)
Houston at Dallas (Oil will be the death of us all so I'd say the oilers)
NY Giants at Atlanta (I think a falcon would take down a Giant)
Philly at New Orleans (because of divine intervention I'd go for the Saints)
Seattle at St. Louis (A seahwak would eat a cardinal for lunch)
Tenn at Washington (Size and power... Titans)
Kansas City at Pittsburgh (I think a cheif could beat up an overworked bluecollar)
Miami at NY Jets (Jets)
San Diego at San Fran (A charger could flatten a golddigger)
Oakland at Denver (Raiders... just because that's what they do)

just take it literally...

oh and by the way Jimscott.... DOWN WITH THE METS!!!

Who cares about them Mets, how about dem Tigers.

  • #14
I'm supporting the tigers
not my team but they've done a heck of a job this year.

  • #15
Any team that beats the Yankees is my team.

  • #16
Marching band should be a spor too then!

  • #17
Hey, if it is a bangwagon and it deals with Michigan I will jump on it.
laugh.gif
I do not like baseball but I will root for them on espnnews. I am happy they beat the yankees though.

I have a seat on the bandwagon because the first game I ever went to was at Tiger Stadium in 1968.  Too bad it was only a mid-season game and not that year's World Series against St. Louis with Bob Gibson.

Anyway, back to PAK's picks.  Mine would be:

Buffalo over Detroit (should be cancelled so people can see the Tigers)
Baltimore over Carolina (depending on which Carolina team shows up)
Cincinnati over Tampa Bay
Houston over Dallas (it would be an easier pick with the 13 point spread)
Atlanta over NY Giants (a team I dislike over a team I can't stand)
New Orleans over Philadelphia (this is wrong, but I like the Saints)
Seattle over St. Louis (but I really have no idea)
Tennessee over Washington (almost certainly wrong, but I don't like the Redskins)
Kansas City over Pittsburgh (the Steelers are missing last year's smoke & mirrors)
NY Jets over Miami (no one should want to see this one)
San Diego over San Francisco (As a long-time Saints fan, I'm enjoying the recent 49ers.)
Denver over Oakland (I'd pick this even with the 15 point spread)
Chicago over Arizona (Bears squash Cardinals, don't they?)

That's only 13 games, so there must be extra byes this week.

Man...y'all make it tough when you don't agree. Why can't y'all pick the same teams? lol I will have to see who seems to be the favorite.

I wouldn't exactly call myself a NASCAR fan, but since I am trying to beat Ozzy in Fantasy Racing, I have been following it more. I have to pull for Jeff Burton. He's from my hometown...I went to high school with some of his family.
biggrin.gif
And he has a cute smile. hehe He's doing reeeaally well.

OK...I have to go study the picks now.
