The empire got me.
We were attacked by [Human] The Empire (1)! In the battle, we lost 45 Scouts 14 Fighters 9 Escorts 7 Frigates 2 Destroyers 2 Light Cruisers 1 Cruisers 1 Battle Cruisers and 2 planets, but we managed to kill 13 Scouts 9 Fighters 5 Escorts 17 Frigates 1 Destroyers 1 Battle Cruisers 1 Dreadnoughts
We should reconsider retaliating!
The attacked also sent us this message: You might be a redneck if... Your biggest ambition in live is to "git that big ole coon. The one what hangs 'round over yonder, back'ah Bubba's barn..."

First thing you want to do is to start buying residential areas. They bring in credits. You are under Federation protection, as I like to call it, for the first 3 days your playing. This gives you time to build up your resources and ships. For the first day and a half build nothing but residential, and buy planets. You get new credits every 5 min as a new turn starts. Make offers to buy 30 planets for 6500 credits in the market place and someone will jump and sell to you. It is the cheapest way to get planets. Need planets for space as you expand. After about a day and a half you want to start building a few other buildings along with your residential. This way you will have resources available when you start building ships on day 3. I haven;t been in a battle yet. Your going to have to talk to Ozzy about that one. Under Noobular protection you cannot get attacked or attack others. So concentrate on those actions first. Building a good source of income and recourses. Remember use the market for planets. Searching for them is expensive. I got 30 planets two times for 6500 credits. Just make the offer. Someone desperate for credits will sell. It is also a game you cannot play fast either. Since the turns are every 5 min. It is a game you have to give your orders and walk away and come back later. The game will drag on if your sitting there waiting for more credits to do something.

edit: Well I'll be danged. The Empire sure searches and destroys quickly... I took over a measly 3 planets and then I went out for some groceries and got back to this message:
