I gotta take the PSAT again for my junior year... hope I do as well or better! Auctually I take the SAT this year.... Well I guess I'll do just as well!

EDIT: I'm glad I cought the spelling error in mathematics

DUDE! OPMFG! It says I'm in the 94th percentile compared to the other people who took the test in my grade!!!

I ROCK SO HARD!

Congratz. Forget about taking the PSAT again, though - just take the SAT as many times as you want/need to. It sounds like you're plenty ready for it. The PSAT is just a gimmick to take more of your money; recycled questions and scores that don't really count for anything. The SAT is perfect practice for the SAT, and you get to keep your best score in each subject - so the more times you do it, the higher your score is likely to be.

I won't. I'm scared of the SAT, though. How am I supposed to know stuff if I have a whole year of HS left?

I ROCK !!!! 94th percentile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This calls for a sexy party!!!!!

sexy party?

I probably should sign up to take the SAT... but im to lazy and I think These tests are stupid.. But I might just take the ACT... dunno though... they both suck and are wastes of time, but w/e.

They are total wastes of time, true - besides being fairly remedial and largely irrelevant to college studies - but that won't stop every college in the nation from judging you based on your score (and your parents' income.)

Congrats! That's awesome. I actually had trouble with the critical reading and writing but scored well on the math. I wanted to break 2000, and didn't quite manage, but I hated the test so I'm not taking it again. I'm waiting for the results on my SAT IIs. American History, Math 1, and Italian. I didn't finish any of the tests, but I hope I did okay anyway, because I'm not taking them again

They said take your selective index score and add a zero, so my score was 1920! Pretty sweet, IMO.

How old are you? I figured you were like...45 rubra!

Good job JLAP! Pat yourself on the back

Yeah, thanks. I'm totally stoked.

Yeah just take the SAT. I took the PSAT and did absolutely horrible, then didnt study for the SAT at all, too it at the beginning of my junior year after a night of not sleeping, and got a 1300 out of 1600. You'll do fine, SAT = cake

I'm just hoping that i do that well on the PSAT and the SAT

Wow! Congratulations! That is awsome news!

BTW...do you have anything in mind for an eventual profession? Or are you riding the wave right now and will figure that out later?

Glad to hear you did so well.

SAT is worthless for me at least. All the colleges here in NY basically have disowned the SAT programs. I LOVE NY!

there actually IS a point to taking the PSATs again your junior year, especially since you did so well!! the PSAT is also a qualifying test for the national merit something-or-other scholarship. i.e., prestige and potentially money! but for whatever reason, you have to get a good score your junior year to qualify...sophomore year doesn't count. I got a 1460 on my PSATs/1470 SATs (out of 1600) and I made it to Finalist. so think about it at least!

anyway, great job!!

I want to be a general Physician. If I decide I want to be a specialist, that's cool, and I will make more money, but for now I just want to be a doctor. That's always been my goal since childhood.

I did qualify for the scholarships.

I'm in a weird situation, you see, since I started homsechooling since this juanaury, I have taken like 3 courses i've already done over again. I was in Honors in them, and got an A, but I still had to take them over again since it's THEIR curriculum. I think it's BS personally, but oh well. Because of that crap i'm still technically in the 10th grade. I just have to finish Algebra II and I'm automaticall graudated. Since it's taking me so long to finish it (Algebra II) a second time (auctually, If i would get of of my butt i would be done in a week) they have given me a bunch of 11th grade courses which I have finished. I'm about halfway done with 11th grade, even though I'm in 10th grade on paper. All I have to is Chemistry II, Geometry, and Spanish II and then i'll be a senior.

PLEASE don't think I'm dumb or anything given my situation. I'm ahead of the public school kids in courses, but not on paper when it comes to my grade (10th) and it makes me feel bad lol. I get straight a's, except for Algebra II which i have a B.

I finished High school in less than 1 1/2 years. And I scored really high on my final tests. I'm sure that you'd do fine on your sats. It's worth a try and then when you take it for real, you won't be so nervous.
