About a month ago I posted an online story (the one about the cave explorers) that I got off a forum that deals with the paranormal. I was looking through that forum today and found a topic that many of the members found very interesting. I will share the links with you. Based on the reactions that several people gave, I decided NOT to look at the videos and sites. I have an overactive imagination and get scared really easily; resulting in paranoia and sleepless nights.
All that set aside... if any of you brave souls decide to look at the links, please be aware that I have not seen them myself so I am not sure of their content. Also, many people mentioned that they felt very strange after watching the clips, so VIEW AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION…

Here are the links followed by some of their comments:

The Wyoming Incident.
Has anyone heard of this? It was a TV hijacking where a very odd video was played and apparently made people hallucinate due to sound frequencies that were at such a frequency that they created vibrations in the eyes that caused visual hallucinations and other symptoms.

Apparently it is said this site may have something to do with this hijack. If you try to navigate the site weird things happen to your cursor and the nav bars on the side and bottom.

The 333 reference on this page is interesting.

This is the video and may only be a smaller portion of what was played on the station.
(This might be disturbing to some people, but then again maybe not. Just a warning. The audio is creepy)

Are these videos some kind of subliminal thing? Who made them? It's very creepy. The messages in these clips are even creepy. The imagery not so much, but still kind unsettling.

It's kinda like a much more mental thing than the ring video, this one is left way more to the imagination. Whereas the Ring video you fill in the blanks with the imagery, this one your mind will make it alot worse trying to figure out what the heck it means.

Right, I'm new to this board, and I'd like to explain how I think these videos work. For a start, the sound is there to disorientate you, making you susceptible, taking you out of your comfort zone. Once you are susceptible then the words that are displayed enter your mind. The messages are all negative thoughts, which then trigger negative emotions, behaviour and symptoms in you. Then when the images pop up, you are both susceptible and negative, which may lead to any symptoms such as goosebumps, hallucinations, fear etc. that the viewer may experience. That's basic Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Bear that in mind, watch the videos again but with the sound off this time, and I guarantee you won't feel as creeped out as the first time you watched them.
So, I wouldn't go as far as to say "don't mess with the occult" because these videos aren't occult. Any emotion evoked in you after watching these videos was meant to be evoked by it's creator/s, using the same, if not then similar, techniques to the ones I outlined. I'm not going to say not to watch the videos, just don't take them seriously, and definitely don't take them as "occult".
If you watch, please share what you think…

Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh!

Can you tell me which forums you visit that you read this?

Can some one sum up that really long 333 website i don't feel like reading through a bunch of dumb people trying to draw attention to them selfs.

Dude, I so want to watch it but I'm afraid it'll mess me up real bad...anybody here willing to watch it and report back...I bet JLAP would?

Sure I'll watch it. I'm already a little messed up.

The last two links to the 3rd and 4th part of the video had been removed by their user, so I got the third and 4th parts from the second link on the right side that shows other videos like it.

I was kind of afraid to watch it because I thought it would be a trick like the one with the Ghost in the Room lol.

It was lame but the last part made me smile :)

As far as sound making you go into altered states of consciousness.. well that's entirely true but it's nothing profound and it takes a little work on the listeners part to make it work. It's called Binaural sound. As far as vibrating eyes to make hallucinations occur, that's a bunch of crap. If that were true I'd be the first one to strap a vibrator to me forehead. You'll also be interested to know that those frequencies don't come out of your normal speakers or headphones.

EDIT: Auctually five parts!

There are 2 fake ones, too.

The first one didn't work and the last two didn't work either.
The two video sections didn't do much, I think that it was just some goth kid trying to impress someone.
but I'll have to watch to full thing on youtube

I looked at the videos this morning. A couple of the links don't work.

I didn't find anything disturbing about it. The musics a bit creepy but nothing to make you lose sleep over. About the claims of 17Hz & 19Hz signals in it? Well, that's outside the specs of the cheapo speakers on my computer so nothing to worry about there. Even pausing the video didn't reveal any obvious subliminal messages or images.

I found searching on the "Chicago TV Hijacking" to be much more interesting. I had heard about that one way back when. It was nice to see the actual clip finally.

didnt do any thing for me.. or maybe i was allready in a weird state of mind, im not talking drug induced either..

Looks to me like a bunch of looneys getting all worked up over some highschool kid's prank.

Interesting find, but the prank itself doesn't impress.
