Do you really think they will let me be a mod over there? The only reason I'm a mod here is because I have some interesting pictures from a camping trip a few years ago with Andrew.

So what is it's purpose / niche? Between TF, CPUK, and the various local / national CP forums, why did the ICPS feel it necessary to introduce another one?
Great question -- which only time will tell how the ICPS Forum will evolve. The first reason is that the ICPS Board asked around the CP community for suggestions how ICPS could improve. The most common responses were:

1) Create an on-line forum so issues can be discussed and debated in a thread format. Some people prefer the email listserv that has been around since about 1994; others prefer to interact on a forum. Consequently, the forum was launched 8 days ago -- not as a replacement for the listserv, but as a complement. The forum is an official arm of the ICPS. There is a thread discussing how we hope the ICPS Forum will be develop.

2) Develop a way that members can join and renew ICPS membership on-line. To make this happen, ICPS membership is now being handled by ClubExpress.
